HYDROGEOLOGICAL STUDY

Multidisciplinary Approach to Governments and Enterprises

The hydrogeological study basically consists of the hydrogeological, qualitative and quantitative evaluation of a given region, with the main objective of understanding the relationship between the demand and supply of water in a given location, carrying out this “report” through integrated studies.

It can be run both by the government and for a particular enterprise that will be installed or that is already operating in a specific area. Thus, this study is composed of several studies that act in a correlated and multidisciplinary way, some of them can be:

  • Mapping of underground water sources;
  • Potentiometric Map;
  • Definition of the hydrodynamic parameters of aquifers;
  • Zoning of areas with potential for water use;
  • Zoning of perimeters susceptible to anthropogenic pollution.

Hydrogeological Services: In-depth Studies and Analysis

In order for all these studies to be carried out, a series of services must be carried out, some of them are:

  • Soil studies, as support for the project’s engineering project;
  • Construction of aquifer monitoring wells;
  • Lease of artesian wells;
  • Construction of tubular wells for water collection;
  • Groundwater analysis;
  • Production testing;
  • Water Balance;
  • Land Use and Occupation Map;
  • Study of the history of the wells in the region;
  • 3D modelling of the region’s aquifer.

Finally, it should be noted that this study serves for a general analysis of both surface and groundwater in the region and, as previously mentioned, can encompass several types of services, depending on their complexity and their specific objectives.
